The Princess and The Dragon

“Once upon a time' starts the story,

‘Ever after’ end the books,

But you can’t judge a whole book by it’s cover,

Nor know a whole person by their looks…”

…this is no less true of The Princess and The Dragon: Unlikely friends, thrown together by fate, questionable parenting and centuries of archetypal cliche.

Isola, our princess, is locked in a tower to await rescue, marriage and her happily ever after but longs for freedom and to find her own destiny. The Dragon just wants a friend.

Together they set out write their own story and, along the way, discover the true meaning of freedom, friendship and the importance of finding boundaries.

The Princess and The Dragon Thorington Theatre August 2023

A modern retelling of an old tale, given a surprising twist! This show will stay with young minds long after the final bar of music has faded and is an entertaining way to impart a serious moral.
