"When Ma Rainey comes to town, folks from anyplace, miles aroun', from Cape Giradeau, Poplar Bluff, flocks in to hear Ma do her stuff."
Led by the renowned Richard Exall on tenor saxophone and clarinet, along with the exceptional Musical Director Dom Barnett on piano, our talented musicians have meticulously arranged the music to feature Ma Rainey's classic songs and to capture the true essence of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. The well-established rhythm section of Sam Kelly on drums and Marianne Windham on double-bass set the foundation for a captivating and immersive musical experience. Complementing the ensemble are the powerful and enchanting vocals of Chrissie Myles and Emily Windham, whose voices will transport you to the jazz clubs of yesteryears.

“What a wonderful night it was when Rainey's Revue played for us at Steyning Jazz Club! The musicians are all really professional and very engaging, so the audience got thoroughly involved in the gig right from the beginning. We shall definitely invite them back to play for us again.” Janet Gawn, Programmer, Steyning Jazz Club
